Fry是一名25岁的披萨店外卖小哥，生活庸庸碌碌、平平无奇。1999年12月31日，他在送外卖时意外把自己冻住，醒来后已经是2999年12月31日。从此，他的生活有了一个新的开始。他加入了Planet Express，一家未来的快递公司，负责把快递运往宇宙的所有五个象限。他的小伙伴们包括快递飞船船长Leela，一个紫色头发的独眼外星人；Bender，一个拥有着人类缺点机器人...。小朋友常趁人不注意将儿童图书馆藏书上好看的插图撕掉，他家的墙上已经贴满了各种他偷撕的插图。这天，他把一张刚偷撕的画有啄木鸟的图片贴在墙上时，和墙上的小动物发生了争吵，小动物们纷纷要求回到图书馆，他偏不让它们回。 后来，小朋友走进了图画中的世界，见到数不可数的图书，每本书里都有好看的插图，他正兴高采烈地欣赏时，图书全都合上跑去了一块，原来它们都怕他那只管不住的手。小朋友终于明白偷撕藏书是种十分不光彩的行为。。
